Annual Scientific Meeting 6-10 July 2008 |
Welcome to the ASA2008 Website
The 2008 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM),
Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Astronomical
Society of Australia, and the Harley Wood Winter School
(HWWS) are being held at venues in Perth.
The ASM will be held from the evening of Sunday, July 6th, through to
the afternoon of Thursday, July 10th, 2008, at the UWA Crawley campus,
on the shore of the Swan river in the city of Perth. All conference
events (with the exception of the conference reception and dinner) will
held in the Tattersall Lecture Theatre, and in the Molecular and
Chemical Sciences (MCS) building nearby.

Harley Wood Public Lecture
The ASA also presents talks open to the public, and the Annual Scientific Meeting includes the Harley Wood Lecture. More details can be found here.Harley Wood Winter School
The Harley Wood Winter School is an annual series of invited lectures and discussions for honours and post-graduate astronomy and astrophysics students. This will take place immediately before the ASM, from Thursday July 3rd to Sunday July 6th, in the port city of Fremantle. Further details on the 2008 Harley Wood Winter School can be found here
